The Katie Beckett Medicaid waiver is an insurance program for children:

• With certain health needs
• Whose families earn too much money for regular Medicaid

Who is eligible for Katie Beckett? Your child must meet all of these:

• 18 years old or younger
• Meets federal criteria for disability
• Cannot get Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits due to finances
• Needs a certain level of care
• Can be safely cared for at home
• The estimated cost of care at home is not more than the estimated cost of care at a health care facility (such as a hospital or nursing home)
